The commencement ceremony of the $10 billion Exxonmobil Huizhou Project

Exxonmobil, an international petrochemical giant, held a "cloud start" ceremony for its huizhou ethylene project in the guangdong-hong kong-macao greater bay area.

Zheng Han, the member of the standing committee of the political bureau of the CPC central committee and vice premier of the state council, attended and announced the start of the project.

Woodlen, is the Exxonmobil chairman and chief executive officer in the Dallas venue of United States, via video link in the form of the "two countries, three places" jointly attended the project launch ceremony.

This is another $10 billion dollars foreign-funded major petrochemical project in Guangdong after BASF chemical integration project in the East Island of ZhanJiang..

The project is located in Daya bay petrochemical zone, which is one of the seven petrochemical industry bases, and the key development areas of the country.  The scale of refinery integration is the first in China, and the comprehensive strength ranks the first in China chemical industry park.

Lifan Wan, chairman of Exxonmobil (China) investment co., LTD., said that the project is located in huizhou, with unique geographical advantages.

We hope to use advanced technology to produce sustainable high-performance products, actively participate in China's manufacturing industry, meet the growing demand of Chinese customers, promote the optimization and upgrading of China's petrochemical industry, and enhance the competitive advantages of the guangdong-hong kong-macao greater bay area.

ShuiQuan Lu, Chairman of Guangzhou tongyuan plastic products co., LTD., told reporters that under the global epidemic, Exxonmobil chose to go against the trend, with world-class technology, large-scale layout of the guangdong-hong kong-macao greater bay area, will provide strong support for the development of world-class advanced manufacturing in the guangdong-hong kong-macao greater bay area. As a quality partner of Exxonmobil for many years, We fully cooperate with the heavy packaging film (FFS) needed for this project. Meanwhile, Before we used to import high-performance resin raw materials, which can be purchased directly from daya bay in the future.

Exxonmobil is the world's largest non-governmental oil and gas producer, headquartered in irving, Texas.

Exxonmobil's huizhou ethylene project in Guangdong province is the first major petrochemical project wholly invested by an American enterprise in China. 

With a total investment of about 10 billion us dollars, the project mainly builds 1.6 million tons of ethylene and other units per year, and produces a variety of chemical products that can be widely used in the industrial and consumer goods fields.
